Sports Sporting Facilities
Sporting facilities in Cervantes are clustered around the Cervantes Country Club and Recreation Centre, opposite the Cervantes Pinnacles Motel in Aragon Street.
Australian Rules Football
Home of the Cervantes Tiger Sharks, The oval is situated at the junction of Cervantes Toad and Aragon Street (opposite the Service Station). Competition Football is played between April and September. Visitors and spectators always welcome. For fixtures, contact the Country Club on 08 9652 7054
Lawn Bowls
Modern synthetic rink immediately adjacent to the Community Club, the season runs from around the end of September to the end of April each year. Club competition day is Wednesday, and scroungers is played Thursday afternoon. A corporate bowls competition runs from early November to February. Visitors are welcome to join in all competitions. Enquire at the club or one of the stores for start times and other details.
Golf
A picturesque 18 hole sand green golf course is located immediately behind the Country Club building. Competition golf season begins late March, early April and continues until the end of October. Ladies day is Wednesday, Men’s, Sunday, with scroungers held every Thursday throughout the year. Visitors are welcome to play in all competitions, and at other times with payment of the appropriate green fees.
