Lookouts
One of the unique attractions of the Turquoise coast is it’s abundance of pristine beaches protected by close in offshore reefs. This combination provides a safe environment for aqua sports, fishing, and recreation. The best views of the system can be gained from a number of lookouts provided to give the visitor a panoramic vista of this unique environment.

Thirsty Point Lookout
Situated at the end of Seville St in the townsite, this lookout offers superb views of Ronsard Bay, Hansen Bay, and the Cervantes Islands.

Hansen Bay Lookout
Just to the south of the town, on the Hansen Bay Rd, the Hansen Bay Lookout overlooks the expanse of Hansen bay and the townsite. The Hansen Bay and Thirsty Point lookouts are connected by a walk-trail offering a ‘beach and bush’ experience for visitors of all ages.

Molah Hill Lookout
Situated on the eastern side of the Cervantes-Jurien Rd roughly halfway between the two towns, offers sweeping views over Nambung Bay and the coastal heath of the area.

Grigson Lookout
23km north of Jurien on the Indian Ocean Drive, panoramic views over the coastal dunes, reef system, and heath-lands.

Sunsets
To many visitors, especially those from the east coast of Australia, the sight of the sun setting over the ocean is unique and inspiring. Further, viewing the Pinnacles at sunset is one of the local fascinations. Excellent views of the sunsets can be obtained from any of the lookouts, or from the beaches at Thirsty Point, Hansen Bay, Kangaroo Point, or from the jetties along the foreshore of town.

Walk Trails
As noted in the ‘Lookouts’ section, a bush and beach walk-trail connects the lookouts between Thirsty Point and Hansen Bay. Especially interesting during the wildflower season, this walk can be extended along the Hansen Bay Road to take in the Stromatalites at Lake Thetis then returning to town via Cervantes Road.
Another most popular walk is along the beach from the jetties to the north of the caravan park to Thirsty Point, returning via Seville St to either the commercial centre or your accommodation.
For those wishing to just stroll around town, there is a network of walkways joining most of the residential cells with the commercial centre and caravan park.
During wildflower season, a stroll around our golf course will delight the visitor with a wide array of diverse flora and occasionally Emu and Kangaroo.
